Hi,
I’m not sure what you mean exactly, but there shouldn’t be any activity going on with the padKontrol during installation and installation doesn’t install any scenes. Once you’ve completed the install, you’ll have a shortcut to nKReason on your desktop. Double-click on that. Once that’s loaded, you’ll be able to access native mode by pressing Scene+Pad 16.
Also, make sure to refer to the manual for info on how to set up Reason to work with nK Reason.
Let me know if that doesn’t answer your question.

If you’re unable to access native mode by pressing Scene+Pad 16, try the following with the padKONTROL turned on.
1. Close nKReason if it’s running. 2. Go to Program Files\nativeKONTROL Reason\Data\BMT. 3. Launch MTPlayer1.exe and check the MIDI Input and Output settings. For Input, you should have In From MIDI Yoke 2. For Output, you should have padKONTROL 1 CTRL. 4. Launch MTPlayer2.exe. For Input, you should have padKONTROL 1 PORT A. For Output, you should have Out To MIDI Yoke 1. 5. Launch MTPlayer3.exe. For Input, you should have padKONTROL 1 PORT A. For Output, you should have Out To MIDI Yoke 2. 6. Launch MTPlayer4.exe. For Input, you should have padKONTROL 1 PORT A. For Output, you should have Out To MIDI Yoke 3.
Try launching nKReason now and see if that makes any difference. Also, let me know if you had different settings in any of the MTPlayers.
Thanks.

Your padKONTROL driver isn’t installed correctly. You need to follow the instructions for installing the driver as they’re listed in the manual and then re-run nKReasonSetup.exe.

Good to hear that you got it working, but your pK’s driver is still not installed right. “peripherique audio usb 2” is the name of the generic Window’s driver. The pK’s ports are padKONTROL 1 PORT A/PORT B/CTRL.
