Hello- Sometimes, when I'm working with NativeKontrol in Live, the metronome, back to arrangement, and loop buttons stop working. It seems like it was happening with this certain project I was working on. I tried recreating the project with the same name, and it still exhibited that behavior. I tried reverting to factory presets on PK, and refreshing my presets. Still got the behavoir. I created a new project, and its yet to do it. The project is using Kompact with some East West string samples. I also noticed that sometimes when I boot up, the PK acts really funny and I can't go to scene 16 to work with NativeKontrol. I have to restart PK. Sorry I can't give you better reproduction steps for the issue, and I'm not sure if is related to NativeKontrol, but I wanted to let you know about it. Please lemme know if you know why this might be happening. If you need more info, I can try to help out. All the best, jbone1313

Hi,
Are you sure those controls did work on that project at some point? The only thing I can come up with is that maybe the project was created prior to you installing nativeKONTROL. To verify that, open that project and go into keymapping mode, what is assigned to back to arrange for example?
When you boot up your computer the pK acts funny? Or it’s acting funny when you launch nKLive? And is there anything specific it’s doing?
Thanks,
Stray

Hmm. Honestly, I'm not sure if those controls have ever worked on that project.
I've reinstalled NK, but I think the project was created at some point during which I had NK installed.
There are no key mappings assigned in this project.
When I say PK is acting funny, it seems that at some point (I'm not sure when), after I noticed this behavior, I booted up the computer, and PK wouldn't let me change scenes. This is without Live or NK running at all.
Now, I just came home, started up my computer, opened NK, and opened a new project, and NK and PK work fine. Then, I opened the offending project. I am experiencing the behavior with it now.
Live is not indicating that its receiving MIDI messages when I press the said buttons.
Now, I rebooted, and I'm noticing the strange behavior with the PK. Turning it off and on makes it work right again.
I've removed the plugin and clip, and I verified that its still causing a problem. I sent the project to your support email.
Of course, this very well could be an issue with my machine, which is unrelated to NK. I am using Novation Automap 2.0 Beta, and I'm also using some Mackie Control Emulation presets with a BCR 2000. Maybe all that stuff isn't playing nice together.
Anyhow, thanks for looking into this.
Best,
Jason

Hi,
Thanks for sending the project over. That had to have been created prior to installing nK as there is no MIDI or key mapping. The majority of nK’s controls will still work, just not any of the controls that are mapped in the template such as metro, overdub, back to arrange, clip loop and a few others.
If you need those controls in the project in question, you can remap them. For example, to map overdub, go into Key mapping mode and press the overdub button. Same for Back To Arrange, Stop Clips and Metro. Clip loop/transpose/volume and everything else uses MIDI. So you’d need to go into MIDI mapping mode to remap those.
On the other issue, I’m not really sure what could cause that. This is something that just happens occasionally or is there any pattern to it?
Thanks,
Stray

Ohhhhhh. Cool, thanks. I'll keep you posted on the other thing. It seems like it happens after opening that project I sent. But anyways, thanks again.
