I recently bought Arsenal for Push2 and have been having quite some trouble setting it up. For one, the script didn't show up in Ableton's MIDI settings until I manually copied the contents of /user/Contents/MIDI Remote Scripts/ to a place called /User Library/Remote Scripts/ in the Ableton folder. Note, this didn't work when naming the folder 'MIDI Remote Scripts', only without the word MIDI.
I mention this because it might have borked up where certain other files are placed.
Now, when I open User mode on the push, I am unable to select any encoder or matrix modes. All I get are Dummy Mode 1.1 through 1.4 in encoder, and Dummy 1-6 or so in Matrix.
My scripts (the .pyc files) are all in /Remote Scripts/_Arsenal/AEP and AMP
I'm running OSX Catalina (yup, I know...) on a Mac Mini. What can I do to try and solve these issues?
Welcome to the forum. Please delete the Remote Scripts folder you created and use the following procedure to install Arsenal_PS2:
1. Close Live. 2. Run the installer as usual until you get to a point where you are shown an error dialog. 3. With the installer still open, go to your user directory (aka home) and find the folder named Contents. 4. In Contents, go into the folder named MIDI Remote Scripts and copy all of the folders it contains. Paste these folders into Live's MIDI Remote Scripts directory. 5. Go back to the installer and continue through the installation as usual until it closes. 6. Relaunch Live.
You can access the Live directories mentioned above like so: Go to Applications, find Live.app or Ableton Live x.app, Control-click or right click on it and select Show Package Contents and then go to: Contents/App-Resources
