First time asking a question here so hopefully I'm in the right place.
I have a Live set that I've been using for over a year that I use Clyphx Pro to move the Ableton chain selector in an instrument rack using the command dev cs in an X-Controls.txt file configured with my foot controller. Initially it was very easy to setup and never thought twice about it but cannot get it working anymore.
Clyphx Pro does seem to be functional. I can move the chain selector by putting [TEST] 4/dev cs 2 etc. in a few clips and it works properly. Here is my X-Controls.txt (2.33 KB) file that has not been changed since April 2019. I have my control surface in Ableton preferences set to Clyphx Pro and the input set to my foot controller (I also tried using user mode of my push). I'm running the latest version of Clyphx Pro, 1.2.0 and wondering if upgrading has changed the functionality? Running Ableton version 10.1.9, MacOS Mojave.
Thanks for any thoughts on how I might troubleshoot this.
Welcome to the forum. The control names you're using there are the issue as brackets have a special meaning in ClyphX Pro. That may have worked in previous versions, but won't work in the current version. To fix this:
1. Rename X-Controls.txt to X-ControlsOLD.txt. 2. Load a new set to create a new X-Controls.txt file. 3. Copy the six control definitions you have in X-ControlsOLD.txt, paste them into X-Controls.txt and remove the brackets surrounding the control names. 4. Delete X-ControlsOLD.txt. 5. Load a new set.
