I use Arsenal LP1 and really like it. Today I wanted to use the SESSION_SNAP Matrix Mode for the first time and got the following problem: I launched some Clips, stored a Snap and everytime I relaunched the Snap it started the Clips but all Track Stop Buttons to the same time, so that no Clip plays. I tried that several times with blank sets and with "full" sets. It's everytime the same. What am I doing wrong?
Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure what would cause that. Could you please tell me the exact steps you're using to store and then recall the problematic snap(s)? Also, please attach your Log.txt file as it might shed some light on what is going on and how I could recreate it here.
I store the snaps in the SESSION_SNAP mode on my LPmini with the matrix accessory button and I recall it with the matrix button. Exactly like the manual says. I don't know, what else I could describe. Maybe there is a conflict with the different remote scripts I use. I attached the Log-file, so hopefully that helps.
Sometimes there is another strange thing if I use the ClyphX mode. Then some matrix buttons light up, that I didn't configure.
Thanks. Everything looks fine there except that, in Live's Preferences, you have the Remote switches turned on for Arsenal_LP1_B Input and Arsenal_LP1_B Output. Those should be turned off. Please correct that and see if you can reproduce these issues.
Thanks. I turned off the remote switches in the preferences and it seemed to work. But after testing a while I found that it woks only for clips on some tracks on other tracks clips start after triggering a snap and stop immediately. And so far I don“t know what’s different between tracks that work and tracks that don‘t. It seems that it has to do with tracks, because I copied clips that work on one track to another and there they don‘t.
Good to hear. A snap is a snapshot of the session at the point the snap was taken. If you copy a clip from one track to another and launch it, that wouldn't change the snap you took previously. If you want changes of your session to be included in a snap you took previously, you'd need to retake the snap.
I am aware of what you described about snaps. I took new snaps after I copied the clips and they didn‘t work on some tracks if I then triggered the new snap. Do you have any further advice what I could try so that it will work like it should?
You took a new snap after you copied and launched the clips that were copied? If so, what happens if you immediately (without changing anything else) trigger the snap you just took? For example, do those clips stop playing? Also, are the names of all of your tracks unique or do some tracks have the same name as other tracks?
>> You took a new snap after you copied and launched the clips that were copied? Yes, I did for several times.
>> If so, what happens if you immediately (without changing anything else) trigger the snap you just took? For example, do those clips stop playing? Yes, those clips stop playing. I did some more testing on different projects. I couldn't really figure out a reason but it seemed that it only happens on some grouped tracks. If I moved tracks where clips stoped when I triggered a snap out of all groups, then it worked. But on other tracks it worked into grouped tracks too.
>> Also, are the names of all of your tracks unique or do some tracks have the same name as other tracks? All tracks have unique names.
