I was able to successfully install ClyphX Pro on my main admin user account on mojave. I'm trying to install ClyphX Pro onto a second user account but keep getting this message at the end of the installation process.
I've looked in the Live Package Contents and can see the ClyphX lessons and Midi folders installed, but ClyphX is not showing up as an option within Live. Again, on my main admin account I can successfully use ClyphX, it's just on this new user account that I'm running into this issue.
Any suggestions on how to get past this 'Invalid Selection' message?

Hi, I am having the same issue. I did create a second user on my macmini (El Capitain) , autorized Ableton again (it asked me) and get keeping the same message as above. Unfortunately, as ClyphX is not installed, I am not able to create a log.txt. I also changed the permission of Ableton to all with no result, ClyphX does not recognize Ableton as a valid installation.

Update. I downloaded and Installed again Ableton on the second user account and it all gone right. It is then necessary to reinstall ableton when creating a new user account in order to let ClyphX installation recognize the App as VALID. Hope it helps!
Update : As I installed Ableton on the second user account, Clyphx is no more recognized by the first (original) account.
It seems that only one ClyphX can be installed on one machine.
Last Edit: Jan 3, 2020 18:37:48 GMT -5 by rickywander: I am still experimenting... :-)
Interesting finding! If possible, please launch Live on the first (original) account and then post your Log.txt file here. Note that the file I'm asking for is generated by Live itself and so it'll be there regardless of whether ClyphX Pro is installed or not.

Tanks Strays for your patience and never missing help!!! I have to say that my minimac (el capitan) is a bit odd. It is behaving strangely since a couple of mounths. In fact it ocasionally freezes for 10 seconds or more (not everything but things like text cursors and part of Ableton) while the audio stream and MIDI input is always working fine. That's the reason why I prefered to try a second user account before reinstalling or upgrading the OS.
On the second user account I installed only Ableton and all problems disappeared...... maybe a virus?
kirkwoodwest On the first account I then installed Ableton beta where I was able to install ClyphX on. So I actually have ClyphX installed on two user account. Your idea of having two or more user accounts sound very nice 2 me as sometimes to change all those .txt file ClyphX needs is not that complicated but for shure a time waste (you call it preset I suppose ) in order to test different setups and ClyphX complex projects.
Stray I am always happy to help people for two simple reason, one is that while helping I learn more and more (also on ClyphX facebook groups where is nice to meet people), and the second reason is that I know that your time is precious and if I can help you to save it a bit I feel part of the game. You know, we all here are hanging on your every word! And everytime you make an improvement, a new User Action or an update it's always A BOMB!!!!
Your help is very much appreciated as are your kind words!
As far as dealing with multiple sets of settings files, a low tech way of doing that would be to use the EXPORT_SETTINGS actions (discussed in the Backing Up Your ClyphX Pro Installation section of the manual). A better (but more complicated) way of doing it would be to use Github. With that, you could not only have multiple sets of settings that you could switch between easily, you could also compare them to see what's different between each set.
