Macbook Pro 13" 2011 - OS X 10.10.5 - Ableton Live 9.2.2
So I've managed to wrap my brain around PXT Live and now PXT Live Plus but I'm having a weird issue..
When I hold down the User button to go to the Session view and access ClyphX stuff, works fine but when I release the User button it activates the Mac's Dictation function. So I hear an audible sound when I release the User button. I've since disabled it and it has stopped triggering the sound just wondering why or if there's a way to stop this from happening.
Welcome to the forum. As far as I understand, this is a quirk with the dictation feature. Upon exiting Accessory Mode, all keystrokes that could be sent from the mode are released as a precautionary step. Key releases shouldn't affect anything, but the dictation feature is affected for some reason.
I'm not sure that there is anything that can be done within PXT-Live Plus to prevent this. However, the issue has been reported to Apple.
Had the same issue and ended up here. Thanks for the info! Disabling Dictation worked for me but also wanted to add that the issue appeared to be tied to to "Press Fn (Function) Key Twice" Shortcut. If you need to use Dictation, try changing the shortcut before disabling altogether.
