I have pxt live and live plus. Where do I put the file for this custom lay out? I put the file in the pxt live plus folder but I still have only the default user layout with the green, purple, red and blue blocks when I select user on push. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Yes, you'd place it in the PXT_Live_Plus folder in MIDI Remote Scripts and then restart Live.

Yes its working. thanks. Now this replaced whatever default file that was there. Should I rename it so as to not overwrite it by mistake? Also is it that only one user script can be in the folder?, and all custom scripts should be named and kept in a separate location? Then just drop one into the PXT_Live_Plus folder when ever I want to use it?

No, you shouldn't rename any of the files within the PXT_Live_Plus folder. Sure, you can store customized files with customized names in an alternate location. However, you'll need to rename them back to their original name in order to use them with PXT_Live_Plus.

Welcome to the forum. As mentioned in the post you're quoting, the file should be placed in the PXT_Live_Plus folder in MIDI Remote Scripts.

Unfortunately not as the handling for this mapping system lives in a MIDI Remote Script for Live and so it only works with Live. It might, however, be possible to develop something similar for PXT-General. I'll look into that.

Welcome to the forum. Are you sure you're in User Mode? I ask because User Mode (on its own) does not have the ability for a single pad to play more than a single note. So perhaps you're in one of the chord-related modes (not User Mode), you're using some sort of device (such as Live's Chord device) that is generating additional notes or you're using incorrect settings for PXT-Live Plus. If you need further assistance, please post your Log.txt file as well as some additional details, particularly which notes are being played by which pads.

hi Stray, is there any way of making the user mode bi directional so the keys pressed light up when using a different midi controller to trigger notes ? similar to STC etc.

Not in a reliable way unfortunately as it allows you to choose arbitrary MIDI channels and that doesn't really jive with the way feedback from MIDI tracks works.
