All right! :-) The lack of me not being able to use the multiple pressure from all the pads that Push is capable of, to assign them freely to parameters in Live, ist what is bothering me most ATM. You comming to the rescue here would be more than welcome!

Just thinking out loud here, and I of course don't know if it's feasible at all, but if you could manage to turn this editor into the Midi controller editor that Ableton didn't deliver with Push, you could have another product on your hands!!!
I have something like the Controller Editor that NI delivers with Maschine in mind.
If it would also be accessible with a simple button combination from PXT Plus, I would easily be willing to pay another 20-30 bucks for that editor.
Maybe other people would too....
Just an idea :-)

PXT-General is somewhat along those lines and may be expanded in the future to function more like a typical editor. Allowing it to be used in conjunction with PXT-Live/PXT-Live Plus is also on the wish list.

Oh I wasn't aware of that, I had always though that's just for using Push with other DAWs. Got to check it out then Can one assign the pad pressure to Midi CC in Live as I had asked for above?!

Ah, ok. Then I might stay on the sidelines a little longer until it either does that or is easily switchable to from PXT (or both!) But I'll gonna check some videos on it either way

Stray, have you ever posted that alternate user map anywhere (from the PXT Plus video)... the one that has the basic push scale on the right, a Bass push scale on the top left and the Drum Rack on the bottom left (plus fx). I was going to take a few hours to re-create it but I figured I'd just ask first and save some time if it's already up. I'm actually surprised there isn't a 'User Map Repository' yet.

No, I didn't post that map or hang on to it - just set it up and used it for the video. It should be pretty quick to whip up something similar with the editor. If you need help with that, let me know. As far as a repository, that's a great idea. However, the format of map files is likely going to change in the not-so-distant future (as a result of the accessibility of the editor) and so we should probably wait until that happens.

Ooh that sounds interesting... Since this is not one of the most popular threads, I'm sure only a small group of your normal beta testers would see if you decided to give of some spoilers on what projects are in the works... Mums the word...:-)

I think it would be nice if there was a prompt after clicking 'write file' that said 'by clicking okay you are overriding your previous settings'. or something to that effect. kinda like the 'are you sure you want to move the last encoder page' prompt in the midi mode editor.
And also in the chord types editor, maybe there could be an option to shift the root note easily?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll keep these in mind for the future.

Welcome to the forum. First of all, to be clear, this editor is for working with PXT-Live Plus, not PXT-Live. If you don't have PXT-Live Plus, the editor isn't going to do anything for you.
Having said that, it looks like you're on the right track. In the LiveDirs.txt file, all of the locations should have .app at the end of them. Sorry that this isn't specified in the docs.

Having said that, it looks like you're on the right track. In the LiveDirs.txt file, all of the locations should have .app at the end of them. Sorry that this isn't specified in the docs. I am having the worst luck with PXT-Live Plus, I don't have a clue of what I'm doing wrong. I used B1 file extractor to extract the .jar file so now I can finally see the folders and the .class files. But Ableton Live isn't recognizing PXT Live Plus. 1st question, is the file suppose to stay inside the original .jar file or do I need to extract the file? If I need to extract the files, do I need to move those files anywhere or do I leave those files in the PXT-Live Plus Editor Folder inside my documents folder. Also are there any known issues of running Java RE 8 on OSX Mavericks 10.9.5 or do I need to install Java 6. I do not see Java in my Utilities folder but it is on my computer and can be seen on my system preference page. Can you help me out here. And my final question, I downloaded the Polyplayground .py file made by PXT. Where do I place this script. Sorry I don't know anything about programming. I am a real point and click end user. But I like what I see the things we can do with PXT Live and Live Plus. Thanks here are some more pics of what I just opened.
