Having trouble getting nPSCS working. I have midi yoke installed,Korg control editor installed,Korg USB-MIDI driver installed and have changed the first two scenes to SCS play & SCSset and written those to the nanopad. But when I try to open nPSCS I get the following message: Failed to open MIDI IN DEVICE "NanoPAD 1PAD" Please connect the device(s) or select another one in the MIDI menu.
I have the nanopad connected and it is recognised in FL studio. I'm sure i'm doing something wrong somewhere!!! Any help or advice much appreciated. Thanks
Sorry to hear you're having troubles. What are the names of the nanoPAD's ports on your system? You can check that by opening the Editor and going to Edit - Preferences. The MIDI In and Out ports are shown in the top portion of the screen.
Thanks for such a quick reply Stray.I'm sure i'm doing something wrong somewhere along the line and i'll end up going doh! when I realise where i've gone wrong. My mid ports show the following settings: MIDI IN : from MIDI YOKE 1 MIDI OUT : to MIDI YOKE1
That’s strange. I’m not sure how you were able to transfer scenes to the nanoPAD with those settings.
In any case, in that same window, check the option to Set MIDI Ports Manually. Click the MIDI In port menu. Find your nanoPAD in the list and tell me what its name is. When done, you can uncheck the Set MIDI Ports Manually option.
To save time, the most likely case is that the driver is not installed. If that's the case, the nanoPAD will show up as either "nanoPAD" or "USB Audio Device".
If you've already installed the driver, you may have ran into a Windows limitation. You can fix that by using the Uninstall Utility that got installed along with the driver. That will generate a list of all the MIDI devices on your system. If you see more than 9 listings there, you'll need to remove any duplicate/unneccessary entries and then install the nanoPAD's driver.
