Not sure if I have set-up something wrong or am expecting behaviour that is not available: I have setup my Midifighter Twister as my 2nd Clyphx Pro control surface, set-up as Clyphx Pro XTA, see below: If I change mapping using Bind command in a Clip action, the new mapping is made (ie I can control the new parameter), but the encoder LED's on the midi fighter twister do not update to the dial settings for the new mappings values. In fact the values in the new mappings do not make it to the MF Twister, such that when I then touch an encoder, it will jump to the last parameter value. Is there a way to have the feedback go back to the MF twister when I remap via bindings? It's kinda key to the use of the MF TWister.

Yes, bindings does that automatically. It will send out feedback using the same MIDI message that was defined for a binding as that is how feedback typically works. The Twister has a bit of an odd MIDI implementation that I think uses some static MIDI messages for feedback. If that's true, then you'd need to set up the encoders to send the same MIDI message that the encoder LED rings respond to.
I don't have a Twister here, but I think there are several members here using it. If you need help with this, try changing the thread title to something like 'Using the MF Twister with bindings'.

Thanks Stray, I have made the subject change. I think it's more than just the LED issue: as I noted above, the actual controller is "remembering" the last parameter value after being remapped (the LED is then just showing that).
Hopefully another MF Twister user might be able to shed some light.

Hi kirkwoodwestI see from some searches that you have the MF twister up and running. Can you have a look at my post here and see if you are getting the same behaviour or if you are getting proper dynamic feedback to the MF after remapping. I've read some of your other posts and it seems you are getting the desired behaviour. Maybe it is something to do with my midi setup?

That would be great. I already make use of a little M4L device that gives me visual of the remappings I do on the fly in my live set, spome recolouring for like controls would be the icing on the cake

Here you go. It's a hacked version of what robiya posted here (http://forum.nativekontrol.com/thread/3557/clyphxpro-encoview), check that for details of how it works. It's also in the middle of getting cleaned up, as I have just extended it from the 8 encoders originally managed to handle the 16 of MFT. Needs some tidying up of the layout etc. ClyphXPro EncoViewMFT.amxd (265.19 KB)
