Hi, For quite a while now i'm using Clyphx Pro with "Select on Launch" on, because i use it to duplicate and copy-paste, delete clips. I have read that its better to turn this off for navigation and selection in x-clips. Turning off Select on Launch gives me also an advantage, because my midi controller's display wont switch to another track/device/macro when i push a clip thats on another track while i'm busy controlling macro's.
But how else, can one copy-paste, duplicate, delete a clip, unless select on launch is on. Even when i use Clyphx Keys for CTRL-C/V, its needs a selection first, so im wondering if there is another way to do this. I know how do this with a predifened selection of clips, but that doesnt work for me in this situation.
Unfortunately i have an Remote SL mk2, which script does not support DEV LOCK, but if i understand correctly, this could be fixed in a future CLyphX update? Though it is a fact that clicking "Lock to Device" manually, just works.....
It would be really amazing if this could work, because it is still a powerful Ableton midi controller, as i use its display to control macro's
thanks for the reply. that option doesnt work for me as i dont know upfront which clip i'm gonna edit or where to copy to. i use clyphx for recording, so i work mainly with freshly recorded clips. Thats why i really like the select on launch option, but the drawback being that the SL is responding to that action by displaying the associated device on that track which many times is not the same track im controlling, so i have to switch back.
does the SEL command only give problems in x-clips, or also in x-controls ?
